Renting an RV for the first time can feel intimidating, but it does not have to be. Our 2016 Forest River Sunseeker is a Class C motorhome designed to be comfortable and easy to drive, even for beginners. Here is everything your family needs to know before hitting the road in San Diego.
Do I Need a Special License?
No. Our Class C motorhome can be driven with a standard driver’s license. It is built on a Ford chassis and drives much like a large van or truck. If you can drive a big SUV, you can drive this RV.
Is It Hard to Drive?
Class C motorhomes are among the easiest RVs to drive because the cab feels familiar. Take it slow, give yourself extra room for turns and braking, and use your mirrors. Within an hour of driving you will feel comfortable.
We provide a walkthrough before every trip so you know exactly how everything works before you leave.
- Drives like a large van
- Take turns wide and slow
- Use mirrors — no rear window
- Full walkthrough included
Understanding Hookups & Systems
At full-hookup campgrounds you connect three things: electricity (shore power), fresh water, and the sewer line. The RV also has a generator for boondocking, holding tanks for water, and a propane system for the stove and heat.
It sounds like a lot, but each system is simple once you have done it once. Our walkthrough covers all of it, and we are just a phone call away during your trip.
- Shore power (electricity)
- Fresh water connection
- Sewer / gray & black tanks
- Generator for off-grid stays
What Should We Pack?
The RV comes stocked with kitchen essentials, so you mainly need food, clothing, and personal items. Bring layers for cool coastal evenings, beach gear, and any specific toys or games for the kids.
- Groceries & drinks
- Clothing layers for cool nights
- Beach towels & sunscreen
- Kids’ games & entertainment
How Do I Book?
Booking is easy through our Outdoorsy listing, which handles secure payment and insurance. Just choose your dates, and we will confirm availability and walk you through the next steps. Rates start from $200 per night and vary by season.
